TOURNAMENT UPDATES
Golf Course. The layout has not changed from 2023. The turf and arboreal programs are yielding some better turf, particularly on the west portion of the course. Trees have been trimmed back to afford improved course walkability and playability. Most branches overhanging fairways and approach shots have been trimmed back, with the exception of some small, but strategically placed branches to add a modicum of difficulty to a few holes.
Tee box and green upgrades were a hit last year and will be retained for the tournament. We have further tee box improvements in the way of upgraded tee markers showing the hole name and par. Final tee marker and pin placements will be made, as always, on the morning of the tournament dependent on weather conditions.
The course is in tip top shape heading into tournament weekend. Rain is expected so the turf should be in excellent shape. The beautification projects are completed.
No hole changes are planned for this year's tournament.
Parking: The Parking Map is available for viewing and reflects the loss of parking lots A & B
Rules Change. Recall we announced last year the BGA required re-evaluation of handicaps for each hole which has revealed that the 7 stroke hole stroke control limit is abnormally affecting handicaps. Since par 3's could have quadruple bogeys, they had moved to being the more difficult handicap holes, while par 5's had become relatively less difficult. The 7 stroke limit was selected for simplicity sake, and speed of play, but we will reain last year's change to having triple bogey be the stroke control. The theoretical max remains the same at 126, but the strokes will be allocated more correctly over the holes.

Reminder There is a singles event (either putting or full course) after the full tournament for those who are interested. Full course singles will follow the exact rules of the Team Event. Putting will be held on the practice putting green in the Players level of ONGC. For putting rules, refer to the welcome letter in your welcome packet. The event is open to everyone including those not playing in the full tournament.

There will be an assortment of clubs you can borrow available on the club rack as well.
CLUB SELECTION
You must pick a single club you will use throughout the competition. Choose wisely as you will have to hit every kind of shot from putts to drives to long approaches and short chip shots.
